Small Decisions, Big Impact

We believe that our choices, whether conscious or not, contribute to the intricate tapestry of our environment and even following simple steps like reducing waste by giving everyday products a new purpose and life can help in building a healthier planet for generations to come. Every small effort from recycling to conserving water contributes to a larger collective impact, and it all starts with our choices! After all, if you can give a pen, paper or pencil a new purpose and a second life, just imagine what else we can do when we make conscious choices.

Meet Our Founder

Hello, I'm Ankita

I moved to Singapore in 2017 after becoming a mom for the first time. As a new mom like most moms I also went through a decluttering and cleansing journey. This is when I realized how much plastic waste we had unknowingly collected in our home. A lot of which had been given to us as gifts. I hate making waste, still do and my research on single-use plastic shocked me.

Did you know that each year the world sells over 2 billion plastic pens? That's thousands of tonnes of plastic waste that end up in landfills and oceans posing a threat to our environment. There had to be a better way!

This is what inspired me to start Purple and Pure. We started with the idea of giving everyday use paper and stationery a new life so they end up contributing to the environment and not end up in landfills.

In my journey as an entrepreneur, I realized that sustainability is a practice that starts from the deep ends. Coming from a humble background, I wanted to support women in need. We setup our operations in India handcrafting seed paper products from residual cotton scraps. All our products are handmade by underprivileged women providing them with livelihood that supports their families.
